Global Communities is seeking an Environmental Specialist for an anticipated project in Honduras. The two-year program aims to contribute to food and nutritional security of vulnerable communities through environmentally sustainable solutions.
Requirements
University degree in environmental sciences, natural resources, agriculture, or forestry
Master's degree in environmental management and natural resources management or another relevant area
At least six years of experience in environmental protection
Verifiable experience in environmental licensing processes, risk assessment, and good environmental practices
Knowledge of national environmental regulations and World Bank's Environmental and Social Framework (ESF)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Leadership and ability to coordinate with technical teams
100% proficiency in Spanish and knowledge of Miskito, Tawaka, Pech, and/or Garífuna language is an advantage
