The International Organization for Migration assists in managing operational challenges of migration, advancing understanding, encouraging development through migration, and upholding migrant rights and well-being.
The Expedited SVN_National Programme Officer – Climate Action and Human Mobility will contribute to the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities aimed at enabling stronger community level resilience linked to livelihoods and economic opportunities, community cohesion, access to services, and preparedness for natural disasters.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Disaster Management, Economics, Development Studies, or related fields.
At least 6 years of relevant professional experience with a focus on climate change and human mobility, in government, civil society, or international organizations, with a focus on project implementation and management.
Knowledge of disaster risk reduction and management (DRR/M) strategies, frameworks and principles, as well as climate change adaptation and resilience-building approaches, is required.
Language skills: Fluency in English and proficiency in one of the official languages of the host country.
