PCA - Personal Care Assistant

Requirements

• Minimum one year of healthcare experience with an employer.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record required (varies by location).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying priorities.
• Ability to get along with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals
• Ability to effectively delegate tasks
• Knowledge of body mechanics and the ability to follow all safety and infection control procedures
• Knowledge of the electronic medical record, or a willingness to learn.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of medical terminology.
• Training in personal care and homemaking skills.
• Current CPR certification and First Aid training within 90 days of hire (depending on location).
