Google for jobs

I started Hirebase in 2023 out of pure frustration. I was early in my career, deep in a job search, and tech-savvy enough to see how broken the tools really were. The platforms everyone said to use were giving me a half-filtered, second-hand view of what was actually out there, and that affects everyone.

Think about Google. It works because you know you are searching the entire corpus of the internet. With LinkedIn or Indeed, you are not. You are searching a fragment, mixed with reposted listings, ghost jobs, agency postings, and roles that closed months ago. Job boards are scattered into niches. Third-party platforms recycle each other's data. It is genuinely hard to see what is really going on.

So I built Hirebase. We go directly to the source: company career pages, the single best source of truth for understanding the labor market. We are industry agnostic, country agnostic, sector agnostic. Whatever a company is hiring for, anywhere in the world, we want it indexed.

The mission is to understand the global job market for everyone who needs to: job seekers, recruiters, hiring managers, market analysts, researchers, and most of all, the people trying to figure out what to do next with their careers. Hirebase is Google for jobs.

Meet the Founders

Spencer Rowley

Founder & CEO

Spencer started Hirebase in 2023 after a six-month job search where every platform he tried felt broken. He built the first version himself to fix his own problem and ended up indexing more roles than LinkedIn.

He runs the company today, leads go-to-market, and writes most of the things you read on the site. He still reads every customer email.

Cofounder & CTO

Jonathan is a former Google software engineer with deep expertise in data infrastructure and AI. He built the enrichment pipeline that turns raw career page data into structured intelligence, including the embeddings model that powers semantic search across 300,000+ companies.
