Velocity Global is looking for a Sr. Analytics Engineer to join its dynamic BI team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering scalable, reliable, and insightful data solutions using expertise in data analytics, data modeling, transformation, and reporting. The role requires in-office collaboration for 3 days per week in Palo Alto, CA.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in an analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar role
3+ years hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation
Proficiency in SQL and with building reports and dashboards using Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
An understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices for building scalable reporting solutions
Experience collaborating with teams to create data solutions that meet the needs of the company
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and modern data stack (Fivetran, Atlan, Airflow, and Monte Carlo)
Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners and experience turning complex data into easy-to-understand insights
