We have an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced cell biology scientist to lead innovative projects aimed at enhancing plant regeneration techniques from various source tissues and cells, impacting global vegetable breeding across crops.
Requirements
PhD in plant cell biology-related research or MSc with 5+ years' experience in plant biology
At least 3 years of experience working on tissue culture protocols like protoplast cultures, microspores, adventitious shoot formation, embryogenesis
Hands-on experience and a passion for plant development and cell biology topics
Proficiency in a broad range of in vitro cell and tissue methodologies
A strong molecular understanding of the current state of the art of embryogenesis and other regenerative processes
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
Possesses a digital mindset and leverages digital tools and technologies to enhance research efficiency and innovation
Experience in the Vegetable seeds industry is a desirable, but not a requirement
