Arcadis is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to supervise, plan, and execute technical documents in their specialty and propose solutions to engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience as a Geotechnical Project Engineer in mining companies/projects and a master's degree in Geotechnics.
Requirements
Civil Engineers (licensed and registered)
Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a Geotechnical Project Engineer in mining companies/projects
Master's degree, diploma, or specialization in Geotechnics (desirable)
Solid training in soil mechanics and rock mechanics (desirable)
Experience leading teams/personnel under your charge
Experience in planning geotechnical field and laboratory investigations
Experience in analyzing slope stability; calculating acceptable load capacity for surface and deep foundations; designing tailings dams, waste dumps, and lixiviation piles; analyzing liquefaction; analyzing dam breach and seismic hazard analysis (desirable)
Experience in implementing waste management systems, participation in EOR services (desirable)
Knowledge of software: Geoslope, Seep, Slide, Plaxis, Flac (desirable)
Knowledge of international design standards for dams: GISTM, ICOLD, MAC
Ability to work in a team with a focus on excellence
Availability to travel to technical visits or occasional supervision of geotechnical investigations in the field
Availability to work in a hybrid format (some days from home and other days from the San Isidro, Lima office) from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am to 7 pm, and Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
